By learning to control my emotional state, I’m learning I can determine my future experiences. For example, when others are losing it, I can state stable and deal effectively with the situation.

Give an example of how you applied this information consistently in practical ways?

When others at work are fearful or angry, I am more confident in directing my responses that more accurately reflect the experience I am interested in.

If you will, why would you continue to practice the techniques over time?

I have recognized the power by being in control of my emotions. It has been quite enlightening.

Yes. I have found being a part of a support network is crucial to ‘staying the course.’

What would you like to see changed about the program?

I would like to see the coaches recognize the students who are truly engaged and have them coax those of us who have been beneficiaries of the program on ways by which we can share what we have learned with others.

Please describe the value of your experience on a scale of 1-10, with 1 being not much, and 10 being way more than you thought when you signed up for?

I have experienced a value of information that rates ‘10’ … I realize my work is my responsibility. I am already enjoying the benefits of this program. I am enjoying the journey.

   I’ve learned my emotional state is controllable.

Give an example of how you applied this information consistently in practical ways?

   When I’m interacting with others, I’m conscious of my breathing pattern to notify me when I’m getting angry before I respond.

   Yes

Why?

   It works because it calms me down so I’m thinking clearly.

Describe any useful information you’ve learned regarding how to control your emotional state?

The biggest thing I’ve learned is controlling my emotional state is a matter of taking a step back from the situation, before I respond. This gives me the awareness to focus my energies on achieving a calm state of mind, then proceeding to deal with the difficult situation.

Give an example of how you applied this information consistently in practical ways?

Whenever I’m placed in a less than ideal situation, I simply remember it is a momentary obstacle, and just like any other situation I’ve encountered over time, I will get through this situation as well.

Will you continue to practice the techniques over time?   Why?

I will most definitely practice these techniques over time. If not for the simple peace of mind that I have received in the last seven plus weeks, but also for the increased ability to make rational decision in high-pressure situations.

Yes, I believe that any added reinforcement will be most beneficial to me.

What would you like to see changed about the program?

I can’t honestly think of anything from my personal experience I would like to see changed in the program.

I would say a 9, the only reason I didn’t give my experience a 10 was because I had an expectation that this would be beneficial to me, to a great deal. But overall, the program has exceeded my expectations tremendously!

I’ve learned to keep my energy calm despite people and circumstance.

Give an example of how you applied this information consistently in practical ways?

In ongoing dialogue and conflict emanating from my wife (separated), I’ve learned to be calm and composed, which is benefitting my children.

Will you continue to practice the techniques over time?   Why?

I intend to make the practice of keeping my energy calm and joyful a lifelong exercise as I suspect I may never completely master it!

What would you like to see changed about the program?

It being more available to others!

I’d have to say a 10, as I was a little apprehensive and didn’t think it would help me in my particularly dire situation. It has in so many ways so quickly, I’m a believer and now a disciple.

I’ve had trouble being consistent. The coaching kept me on track until I understood the techniques involved.

By not allowing my negative energy to hang around when it shows up.

Definitely. Because it makes my life better!!

Yes. I prefer personal interaction like phone or skype if possible.

What would you like to see changed about the program?

A clearly understanding of my responsibilities coming out of the orientation meeting.

I say 5-6, only because after the presentation I had high expectations going in and it delivered!
